Christmas Presents - Part II

The second of my blogs with ideas for the perfect Christmas gift belongs to the Edale Body Warmer pictured. None of the restrictions of a jacket, leaving the wearer free to drive, chop logs, hold a pint….I'll leave you to complete the list I think.

Christmas Presents - Part I

There’s so much choice if you’re looking for gifts to put on your Christmas List or if you are buying for a loved one. To make that task a little easier, I thought that over the next few blogs I’d tell you about some of my favourite products available from Jolliman.

I’m in the last few days of convalescing at home, hence the lack of blogs for a short while. I can honestly say that I am not looking forward to having to brave this chilly weather early in the morning on my way to work.

Jolliman National Singles Championship

We continue our annual sponsorship of the Bowls England National Singles Championship in Worthing. Several members of Jolliman staff were treated to Bowls Englands hospitality across 25th & 26th August with a presentation of the Jolliman Cup on the final day.

Durham's David Bolt won the Jolliman Cup at Beach House Park, Worthing. The 32-year-old postman from Silksworth BC defeated Graham Ashby from Rugby BC, Warwickshire, in a closely fought final to claim his first major outdoor title.

A jacket for all reasons

We’ve updated our Summer Sport Jacket this season to this fantastic Summer Jacket pictured. We call it our ‘jacket for all reasons’ as it is one of the most versatile jackets you could want.

The right trousers

With apologies to those of you who have been wearing your trousers the right way for a while, we thought that we’d give some tips to make sure that you can always look your best whether you’re formal or casual.

1. Trouser Length
If you’re wearing smart shoes then avoid too much bunching at the ankle. All of our men’s trousers are available in at least 3 lengths so there should be no excuse for concertina legs!

2. On the waist or below the waist
It’s more than OK to wear your jeans below the waist, in fact it’s de rigueur! We do advise not so low that any amount of underpants are on view however! If you’re wearing smarter trousers we’d always advise on the waist but never up under your armpits!

3. Plain or patterned.
Our advice would be to go for plain trousers and then jazz up your outfit with a Check Jacket or Check Shirt or even a Jacquard Sweater.All of our men’s trousers are available in at least 2 colour-ways if not more, so you’ll find a colour to suit you.

4. Crease or no crease
We know that you all love a good crisp crease down the front of your trouser legs, so I take a very deep breath before I say this. If the trousers you buy don’t have a crease then please don’t add one! Honestly, they’ve been designed to be worn that way and they really will look so much better.

At the end of the day we know that you’ll wear your trousers whichever way makes you comfortable and happy, but next time your buying some new men’s trousers please bear our helpful tips in mind!

We're all going on a Summer photo-shoot!

It’s that time of year again when we are off to shoot the new Summer range. With the usual mixture of despair at the weather and excitement at getting the new products shot we’re just can’t wait to get started.

What’s in your wardrobe?
